Deanland, a former RAF WWII fighter base in Sussex UK was built to support the Normandy D-Day landings. The stories of this historic airfield are the inspiration for artist Alexander Johnson’s ‘Deanland Project’. In ‘Deanland’ John’s third photo-documentary book, a two-year creative collaboration between photographer and artist captures this exciting new collection of artworks as they become reality. Featuring a four page foreword by Antony Penrose, (Director of the Lee Miller Archives), the book is also designed by the author.
